FAQ: You Have Questions? We Have Answers.

If we declare a disaster, how soon can we occupy the recovery center?
Centurion personnel will be waiting for you at the recovery center as soon as you get there.

How long can we stay at the recovery center after we have declared a disaster?
The contract gives you 45 days in the recovery center for a Disaster. Depending on the needs of other subscribers, your stay can be extended, but as a practical matter, you will want to be in a more permanent location sooner than 45 days.

Has Centurion ever actually helped a customer through a disaster?
Centurion helps customers through disasters or near-disasters of all sorts on a monthly basis.

If a natural disaster were to affect several Centurion customers at the same time, would they be able to use the recovery center?
Centurion can recover multiple customers at the same time. We have a contingency plan in place that helps us roll customers out to our other recovery centers when a particular center reaches capacity.

We have several offices connected on a wide area network. Can you recover our communications as well as our core business unit functions?
Absolutely. Our communications experts work with you to establish a connection at your very first test. This connection is then tested each time you do your annual test.

If we are testing at one recovery center, can we use a piece of equipment at another recovery center if needed?
All of our recovery centers are connected via T1 lines, so that we can share equipment and personnel when needed.

Should we test all of our systems each year, or just the critical systems?
Centurion recommends you test everything you need to process your business each time you test. Ultimately, the decision is yours, but you will minimize any unknowns if you test everything.

If we already have a hot site and a plan, is there anything else we need to do?
We have found that, in most cases, existing plans are geared toward the data center only. The plan does not take into account other key departments and their requirements. Our consulting group can review your plan to determine how effective it is for your entire business and provide direction on how to improve it.
